Specialized Rail Service is committed to helping our customers through all phases of your transportation needs. In accordance with that commitment we have added the ability for you to view and print all documents pertaining to any move we have made for you. IE, Proof of delivery, Bill of Ladings, Order confirmations and Invoices. When possible you should also be able to get lumper receipts and even scale tickets on moves where you have paid for those services. This is a free service. SRS does not charge you for access to the site.

 

Please note that while we make every effort to have these documents available to you in a timely manner there are times when because of delays in accessorial approvals or other problems your specific documents may not be available. In this case you can contact our office for assistance.

 

Also please note that a few customers have had problems viewing all documents even though they are all available on the site. The image format we use to post your documents is called tiff, certain common tiff viewers have issues which only allows you to see one document. In our case this will be the invoice we sent you for the move. We highly recommend that if you have a problem viewing the images that you need from our site go to http://www.alternatiff.com and download their free tiff viewer. It only takes a minute, it installs itself and it works well with our system. You shouldn’t have any problems with alternatiff but if you do please read the notes on their site. SRS has nothing to do with this viewer other than it operates well with our system.

 

INSTRUCTIONS

 

(1) Call or email Joe Obermiller at the Clearfield, UT office to enable your web access and to receive your login ID and Password.

You will only have to do this one time.

 

(2) Go to www.specializedrail.com then click on the “DOCUMENTS” button at the bottom left side of the web page screen.

 

(3) Enter User Id and password. Please Make Sure Your Caps Lock is ON.

 

(4) In the “SEARCH LOADS” box at the top of your screen you will see 4 boxes.

·        The first one is blank.

·        The second one says “key fields”

·        The third one has today’s date

·        The fourth one is blank

 

(5) In most cases you will not need a date so highlight the date in the third box and backspace it out.

 

(6) Type your reference number or a trailer number in the first box then hit enter or click the “search” button on the far right.

 

(7) At the bottom of this screen you will see a bar that says “Total Record (s)”

Underneath this you will see a line of blue text which reads as follows:

Status: Order# Load# Invoice# CustomerPO: OrderBL#: PDate: etc. etc.

 

(8) Under that line of blue text you will see a line of grey text which will read similar to:

Invoiced 123456 234567 345678 etc. etc.

 

(9) Double click anywhere on that line of grey text. 

 

(10) On this window you should see a red colored box which says “Order Info:” at the top of it. On the far right side of that box you should see an Icon that looks like a curled piece of paper with the word tiff on it. Click that Icon.

 

(11) At the bottom of this page you will see a red bar that says “ID:” on it. Underneath that red bar you should see one or more lines of blue text. This will be a long number with a .tiff file extension at the end of it. Click on anyone of those lines and you will see your documents. You can print them as needed.

 

Once you have done this one or two times it should become fairly simple for you to find anything you need 24 hours per day at your convenience.
